Unfinished by Suzanne Gravelle Virtual Tour

Many days we hear someone talking about finding ourselves and more and more women are starting to want more of their lives. Even people who are very “successful” from a secular point of view want to find more inner and personal peace and happiness. Its like the cliché that “money can’t buy happiness”. I personally feel money definitely does not guarantee happiness in our lives – may short term pleasure, but not a deep down satisfying happiness. So, what can we do to feel better about ourselves and our lives?

We’re hosting Suzanne Gravelle and coordinating a virtual tour to promote her first book, “Unfinished”. This is one way that Suzanne describes this book, its about a “personal physical journey that had to be taken to save my sanity and to save my life. I had to find out what I truly desired to do with the next part of my life.”

Many women and men can find themselves in this same situation, for any number of reason. They may be changing or losing their job, children may be leaving home, their relationships may be ending or just beginning. Any of these situations, and many more, can and should prompt us to take a look at our lives. When you face that moment in your life, how will you respond?

During this tour we are reaching out to blog owners and radio stations (and just about anyone else) who would like to learn more about this important topic. Suzanne is also very open to speaking opportunities – either by phone or Skype or in person depending on your location. Please reach out to me to discuss the possibilities – nikki@nikkileigh.com

About Unfinished

This is a true story of a woman who experienced such a profound awakening that she could no longer live the same way, the same life she was just one week before. She could no longer ignore the woman who was screaming to be set free from the ties that bind her to a life she no longer desired or recognized. The transformation to become the woman
she really wanted to be has propelled her upon the most remarkable self-discovery journey of her life. She sold her home, gave up her career, kissed her children, grandchildren and friend’s good bye, got into her vehicle and just drove away…ALONE. Where was she going? 30,000km later she finds herself in the most unlikely place to try to piece her life together, trying to make sense of the constant feeling of being UNFINISHED. Phyllis Schieber Starts the Conversation About Topics of Interest to Mature Women

In June and July, novelist Phyllis Schieber will have a blog outreach campaign where she will visit a variety of blogs that deal with the topics the characters in her novels face. We want to get conversations started about the concerns of women in their 40s, 50s and 60s. Some people have called Schieber’s novels “women’s fiction,” but it is best to think women’s fiction for women of a certain age  During Phyllis Schieber’s blog outreach campaign, she will visit a wide variety of blogs and discuss many topics, relevant to all women, but especially to the older, mature woman.

Topics to Discuss During the Blog Campaign

Women, secrets, marriage, motherhood, betrayal, adultery, adoption, adopted children, teens forced to give up children for adoption, adopted children searching for biological mothers, middle age and sex, female friendship, women in middle age, biological mothers, divorce, infidelity, loss, life change, an d adultery. If you have another topic that you would like to suggest – just let us know what you have in mind.

A Promotional Opportunity for All Blog Hosts

She is offering a unique opportunity for blog owners we include in the campaign. Each blog owner who hosts Phyllis will be given the chance to guest post on her blog – the stipulation is that the post needs to deal with one of these topics listed above. Of course the post can contain a resource box for the author of the post to mention their blog. We will warn you that Phyllis is a writing teacher – so she will check your work.

About Sinner’s Guide to Confession by Phyllis Schieber:

Kaye and Barbara are longtime friends, now in their fifties. Ellen, who is several years younger, develops a friendship with the other two women years later, solidifying this close-knit group. The three women are inseparable, yet each nurtures a secret that she keeps from the others.

About Willing Spirits by Phyllis Schieber:

Jane Hoffman and Gwen Baker, both teachers and in their forties, have a friendship that helps them endure. Years after Gwen is abandoned and left to raise two sons alone, she finds herself in love with a married man. After Jane is humiliated by her husband’s infidelity and Gwen must face her own uncertain path, the two women turn to each other.

Now, as each is tested by personal crisis, Jane and Gwen face new challenges—as mothers, as daughters, as lovers. And in the process, they will learn unexpected truths about their friendship—and themselves.

About Author Phyllis Schieber: The first great irony of my life was that I was born in a Catholic hospital. My parents, survivors of the Holocaust, had settled in the South Bronx among other new immigrants. .In the mid-fifties, my family moved to Washington Heights. The area offered scenic views of the Hudson River and the Palisades, as well as access to Fort Tryon Park and the mysteries of the Cloisters. Her first novel, Strictly Personal, for young adults, was published by Fawcett-Juniper. The Sinner’s Guide to Confession, was released by Berkley Putnam and in March 2008, Berkley Putnam issued the first paperback publication of Willing Spirits.
