People and especially authors who know me, know that I love “out of the box” projects. This project is “out of the box”, fun, to benefit a great cause and I want to extend an invitation to you to participate.
I’m looking for people who are breast cancer survivors or people who have a close friend or relative who has an encouraging breast cancer story. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been through a cancer scare and biopsy myself (so now I know what is mesothelioma and many other kinds of cancer anybody risks to get) and my mother and an aunt had breast cancer. So, I’m not belittling anyone’s experience. But, with this project, I am looking for people who want to share their story or their friend’s story – which will educate about the risks, causes and the possible origin (find more details at http://drugguardians.com/drug/taxotere/) and encourage people facing this struggle now or for people who may face breast cancer in the future, as well as any kind of cancer. For more details, contact nikki@nikkileigh.com.
I hope to share a wide range of articles during August and September on several blogs. These will be posted in conjunction with the Flawless Beauty Photo Contest, that I’m coordinating. The contest is offering the chance to show off your beauty with our near flawless diamonds. We want to share pictures from women and men that show their inner and outer beauty.
Diamonds and beauty – what do those words convey to you? There can be many definitions for “flawless beauty” – but we’re looking for a woman or man whose picture
captures the imagination and has that intangible “it” factor. Having the perfect face or body is not the secret formula to win the Flawless Beauty contest. This is your chance to show off your beauty, help a great cause AND have the opportunity to win great prizes – including a 75 carat diamond necklace and much more. The diamonds are near flawless – and will look beautiful with your pictures. Any man or woman, worldwide (except a few countries listed in the terms) are invited to participate in the photo contest.
International recording artist Jon Raven and Ken Crockett Jr, the owner of Invisible SetIns, are partnering to launch the Jon Raven Diamond Collection. To launch the collection in style, we are holding the “Flawless Beauty” contest and a portion of the proceeds will go to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
To enter – go to http://www.jonravencontest.com and read the terms and conditions, then click on the link to submit your photo. Remember, we want a photo that jumps off the page and shows us your personal “beauty” – submit a picture that shows us why YOU should be the face of the Jon Raven collection for the next year.
In addition, the winner will win a 75 carat black diamond necklace and the second prize winner will win a 30 carat black diamond bracelet. Votes by your friends and peers will be used to pick the 10 finalists and then our panel of celebrity judges will pick the winner. So, you need to enter early and ask your friends to vote for you. The contest runs through the end of September and the winners will be announced the middle of October –Breast Cancer Awareness month.
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation does wonderful work and this is an opportunity to help a great cause and to have fun.
The contest runs through the end of September – enter today. A few legalities: you need to be 18 to enter, there is a $5 fee for each picture you enter, worldwide participation is encouraged (there are a few countries the State Dept won’t allow us to include). Feel free to share this information with anyone you think would like to be involved – and please add a note on your entry to let us know if you’re a breast cancer survivor. We hope to “see” you soon.
