Imagine a frustrated kindergartner calming her anger with a special “Balloon Breath” or a fourth grader visualizing an ice-blue pillow to cool his hot headache. Picture a fretful 11-year-old getting homework help from a Personal Wizard. Psychologist and author Charlotte Reznick, PhD has written a book titled The Power of Your Child’s Imagination: How to Transform Stress and Anxiety into Joy and Success in which she shares imagination techniques like these which she has been using in her own therapeutic practice for over 20 years. She has also developed several CDs which guide children through specially designed relaxation and imagination/meditation exercises.
Throughout April, Dr. Reznick will take her book and CDs on a tour of cyberspace. We are looking for busy blogs to host The Power of Your Child’s Imagination. We would love to include blogs that reach:
- parents and educators
- therapists and medical professionals who work with kids
We will offer a download page with articles, interviews, and other resources which you can share with your blog readers. We are also looking for reviewers. If you would like to be considered for this tour, please contact Stephanie@nikkileigh.com.
